Cheryl Oliver will be bringing an update on the Turner Center for the Arts.Â Cheryl began her tenure at the Turner Center in March 2008 as Interim Executive Director and assumed theÂ Â Â position of Executive Director in July 2008.Â Â A native of Quitman, she attendedÂ Valdosta State (College) and now lives in Lake Park with her husband, Jack, and dog, Sam.
Todayâ€™s program is being brought to us by Mike Nelligan.Â The Mission Point, formerly Mission Point Baptist Church has accidentally become Valdostaâ€™s mission to the homeless, hungry and addicted. They now find themselves preparing hot meals on Sunday Morning, Sunday night and Wednesday night. TheyÂ distribute food and clothing to theÂ hungry and poor of Valdosta andÂ provide a substance abuse treatment program.
