Today’s program is being brought to us by Valwood School’s new Headmaster Dr. Darren Pascavage.  Dr. Pascavage began his role as head of school this past summer on July 1.  You can find more information inside along with pictures from last week’s special Salute to Veterans program and last nights impromptu Rotary Unwind.  It’s all inside the Rota-Reel.

This week has been designated as World Interact Week 2011 to celebrate the founding of the first Interact Club in 1962.  Today we will meet many of our local Interact students and hear about the many projects they are planning this year.  We will also be hearing from members of our Valdosta State University Rotaract Club.

Today is a very special day for the Rotary Club of Valdosta.  We are very excited to be inducting several new members.  We have a very diverse group and encourage all of our members to take time to get to know each and every one. We will also be introduced to the Rotary 200.  The Rotary 200 is part of our long term planning designed to secure the future of our club and position the club for stronger and better service to our community.

Our program this week is being brought to us by Peter Kageyama.  Peter has visited Valdosta twice before, speaking at the Chamber luncheon series in 2009 and working with Creative City author Charles Landry in 2008.  The author of For the Love of Cities, Peter will be telling us why Valdostans should love Valdosta.  We look forward to seeing you at the Conference Center
